Presentations and Question and Answer Sessions

ICAG-CSRS 2022 is currently planned as a hybrid conference. The following provides the current plan for types of sessions and how questions will be asked and answered in each case.

In-Person Oral Presentations

In-person oral presentations are to be made in the meeting rooms at the Québec City Convention Centre.

Slides and voices (but no video of the presenters) will be provided via Zoom in real time to virtual participants and recorded by the conference.  All recordings provided in groups by “session” and not as recordings of individual presentations will be available after the session.

Questions to the presenter from in-person delegates can be asked in the meeting room in the usual way.  Questions from the virtual participants are to be asked using the Q & A function in Zoom. The chairperson in the room will ensure that questions submitted in either form are directed to the presenter for response.

All participants will have the option of sending messages directly to the presenter and engaging in one-on-one discussions.

In-Person Interactive Poster Presentations

In-person interactive posters are to be mounted on presentation boards in meeting rooms at the  Québec City Convention Centre.  They are to also be provided in digital form which will be made available on the conference website at the same time as they are first posted at the conference for in-person viewing.

Authors have the option to also provide a video (no longer than 3 minutes) summarizing the important points of their presentation.  It is currently planned that this will be made available to all registered delegates prior to the start of the conference.

Questions by in-person delegates are to be asked in the room as is usual for an interactive poster session.

All participants will have the option of sending messages directly to the presenter and engaging in one-on-one discussions.  This will be the only way for virtual participants to pose questions to the presenters of interactive posters.

Virtual Oral Presentations

Virtual oral presentations are to be provided as prerecorded videos.  It is currently planned that these will be released to all participants prior to the start of the conference.

All participants will have the option of sending messages directly to the presenter and engaging in one-on-one discussions.

It is currently planned that there will be Question and Answer sessions on Zoom for discussions between presenters and interested symposium delegates who have registered for either virtual or in-person attendance. It is planned that these will potentially be held on Tuesday evening July 12 and Thursday morning July 14. (Session timing to be confirmed.)
